Ways of working 

This role is based at our Sunshine Coast headquarters with a hybrid work model that includes in-office presence from Tuesday to Thursday. 

Key priorities

  • Help prepare high-quality planning, fieldwork, and reporting materials in a timely manner. 
  • Collaborate effectively with the Audit Manager and team members to ensure a smooth workflow. 
  • Support the documentation and analysis of key processes to identify critical controls. 
  • Assist in assessing risks and controls to identify weaknesses and recommending improvements. 
  • Assist in communicating audit results to department managers and ensure understanding of audit recommendations. 
  • Support the evaluation and monitoring of corrective actions taken to address identified control weaknesses. 
  • Participate in internal departmental tasks and key standing activities, such as Board and Audit Committee reporting, as needed. 

About you 

  • Holds or are in the process of completing a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business, or a related field.
  • Considering a relevant postgraduate qualification, such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • Commitment to developing and maintaining necessary knowledge, skills, and qualifications. 
  • Effective written and oral communication skills. 
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. 
  • High attention to detail and a willingness to learn and apply technical expertise. 
  • Enthusiastic, passionate, and adaptable, especially in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Effective planning, organisation, and teamwork skills. 
  • Basic knowledge of financial principles and accounting transactions. 
  • Commercially minded with a focus on building strong relationships. 
  • High integrity, professional accountability, and a proactive approach to identifying risks and opportunities.
